Background

Founded in August 2002, Central Share Registry Pte Limited (CSRL) is a fully owned subsidiary of the South Pacific Stock Exchange Pte Limited (SPX) and is the first central share registry to be established in Fiji.
 
CSRL underwent a rebranding exercise in 2015 with an aim to generate a brand which can represent its corporate identity, unify the core business activities and give various stakeholders including investors a consistent exposure as well as a user friendly access to the CSRL services. A rebranding was also necessary to reflect CSRL’s reliability in providing registry services on behalf of listed companies. The rebranding exercise included development of an independent website, corporate logo and development of a new, improved and a tailer-made share registry software (ShareSoft).
 
Currently, CSRL provides registry services to 19 out of 20 listed securities and three unlisted companies, namely; Globoal Harvest Holdings Limited, Gaunivou Investments Limited and Energy Fiji Limited.

The main objective of the CSRL is to centralize and harmonize the records of all companies share registers and efficiently manage them. CSRL offers tremendous benefits to the companies and shareholders alike.
 
CSRL acquires the investor relations function from listed companies and serves their shareholders so that the companies can concentrate on their core business.
 
Following the launch of the improved registry operations, a step towards the automation of the trading and settlement system at the SPX will now be explored.

Our online investor centre provides direct access tools for investors to manage their registry information - their securities and their holder information. It also gives access to your stockbroker to seek confirmation of your shareholding before executing your orders.
